Obituary: Barbara Lee Yeager Williams

Funeral services for Barbara Lee Yeager Williams will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with a graveside service at Cullman Memory Gardens Cemetery to follow. Visitation will be at 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with the rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. 

Cullman Funeral Home is honored to serve the Williams family.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Sacred Heart Church Organ Fund. A memorial service will be held at a later time.

Barbara was born on July 1, 1941 in Cullman, Alabama. Active in her community, she was a business owner with her husband (Central Cabinet), a Girl Scout leader, an avid member of the bowling league, held a variety of positions with the Cullman Moose Lodge, including the WOTM’s Alabama Deputy Grand Regent and loved to travel. At the age of 16, Barbara met her husband Eddie while they were both working at Kuhn’s Five & Dime Store. They dated for two years and were married for 62 years.

Barbara loved her family. She is survived by her husband: James Eddie Williams; her children: JaCynthia Williams, Jeffrey Williams and Sabrina (Kevin) Williams Mitchell; her grandchildren: Heather Sellers, Brad Smith, Amber Sellers, Shaun Smith, Todd (Sam) Williams, Kayla Williams, Ceth Hopper, Keegan Mitchell and Alyssia Mitchell; her great-grandchildren: Ariana Sellers, Peyton Workman and Lakelynn Sellers; her sister: Edna Yeager Brown and a large extended family.

Barbara was proceeded in death by her daughter: Regina Williams Smith and her parents: Gilbert “Pug” Yeager and Irene Bolte Yeager.
