HANCEVILLE, Ala. – Hanceville’s newest business, Vintage Magnolias, will be holding a grand opening and ribbon cutting on Friday the Feb. 4 beginning 10:00 a.m. The business sells home décor and vintage antiques collected by various vendors. Some items are from the early 19th century, such as the solid cherry blanket chest with dovetailed bracket feet from New England. The store features many different products to suit all antique lovers, like the hand sewn bunny and heart-shaped pillows, vintage dressers and silverware, tea sets, furniture, typewriters, hand-made signs and more. The vintage and antique vendors are predominantly from the Hanceville and Cullman areas.
Vintage Magnolias was previously located at the old marketplace building across from Dale’s gas station and run by a group of friends and collectors. Owner Maggie Sotelo said, “We were there up until the pandemic, and we tried to reopen it, but the building didn’t have any plumbing, any of that, and I said, ‘we need to get into a storefront.’” The group decided to open an entirely new store. It will be run by Maggie and a few others. The various vendors will not always be at their booths, but Maggie is happy to call them with any questions about their products.
Vintage Magnolias is located 111 Commercial St NE, Hanceville, AL 35077. The hours of operation are Tuesday – Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
