CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two females following a 911 call reporting a robbery Wednesday night.
On December 22, at approximately 6:50 p.m., two females entered the Bugtussle Dollar General. Shortly after, the females held the clerk at gunpoint, took the money from the register and left in a vehicle.
Dollar General employees called 911 and provided a vehicle description.
Cullman County Sheriff’s Office deputies located the vehicle in Dodge City and conducted a traffic stop.
Zykhila Nychiante Reliford, 26, of Hueytown and Nykiara Ivy, 24, of Birmingham were identified as the offenders and were arrested without incident.
Reliford was charged with robbery.
Ivy was charged with robbery and possession of marijuana in the second degree.
“This was a dangerous and potentially deadly situation,” Sheriff Matt Gentry said. “The employees at the store did a great job providing the information to the Sheriff’s Office quickly. This led to an immediate response by our deputies. The suspects were detained within 20 minutes of the robbery. I am proud of the continued dedication of our deputies and thankful that no one was injured in this incident.”
