Funeral service for Estelle T. Black, 96, of Hanceville will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Arkadelphia First Baptist Church with interment in Arkadelphia Cemetery, and Rev. Harce Swann officiating. The body will lie in state Tuesday at the church from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be Monday evening at the funeral home from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Black passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Woodland Village Nursing Home. She was born November 23, 1925 to James Oscar and Elmer Omelia Pugh Tolbert. She was the oldest member of Arkadelphia First Baptist Church. She loved quilting, loved watching Braves ballgames, Alabama and Auburn football and Nascar racing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: James “Curt” Black; son: Rondle Black; brothers: Buckle Tolbert and Freeman Tolbert; sisters: Ruby Tolbert, Sudie Ballew, Christine Smith and Opal Swann; granddaughter: Joy Culverhouse; grandsons: Paul Black, Kelly Campbell and Dusty Black and son-in-law: Robert Campbell.
Survivors include her children: Arlin Black, Elaine Campbell, Faron Black and Gala (Allen) Rice; seven grandchildren: Blake Black, Kerry Campbell, Heather Black, Andrew Black, Linda Black, Marty (Jennifer) Rice and Jason Rice; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
