CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Animal Shelter’s Donna Ruttkay shares the Cullman Tribune Pet of the Week:
Lil Tootsie is a 1-1.5-year-old Doxie mix. She is a medium-energy gal who is currently perfecting her leash training skills. She is a gal who loves her toys, but overflows with love for her people most of all.
Lil Tootsie is sure to make someone an awesome therapy or companion dog!
Lil Tootsie’s adoption fee is $100 which includes DHLPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccines, rabies vaccine, wormer, general exam at the vet, spaying, microchip, free 30-day health insurance policy issued by 24PetWatch (with valid email only) and a free bag of food from Cullman Pet Depot (you must pay sales tax).
Animal shelter staff and volunteers work with their dogs to make sure they are accustomed to being around people, walking on a leash and practicing good behavior. Several of the shelter’s canine friends have even been “hired” to work as therapy and special needs service dogs.
Please consider adopting to give a rescued pet a chance at a happy and healthy life.

Good News!
Ruttkay shared with the Tribune that a number of high school students recently purchased and donated blankets, beds and treats to the shelter, just in time for the holidays! The Cullman County Animal Shelter is thankful for the continued generosity shown by the Cullman community towards their furry friends.
