Cullman Community Band gears up for their Christmas Concert

CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Community Band has announced that their Christmas Concert will be held on Monday, December 6, at the Cullman High School Auditorium. The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m., admission is free and all are welcome!

The Cullman Community Band is sponsored by the City of Cullman and offered its first official performance in 2005. The band provides a musical outlet for adult musicians in the Cullman area, as well as quality symphonic band entertainment for the community. These dedicated musicians perform annually at Cullman Oktoberfest, Christmas Concert, Spring Concert and Strawberry Festival.

“The band’s repertoire includes standard symphonic band literature, patriotic music, marches and Broadway/movie show tunes. The band has a standard symphonic band instrumentation–woodwinds, brass and percussion. Members of the band are volunteers, ranging in age from 18 to 84, and come from many different occupational backgrounds,” reads the Cullman Community Band’s concert announcement.

The community band is always open to new members, with its practice and performing season following the school year. Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Cullman Middle School band room.
