CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Commission on Aging and Doug Davenport with the Parks and Recreation department are partnering to present the Winter Wonderland Senior Night at Sportsman Lake Park. The event will be held on December 9 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. and admission to the 19th Annual Winter Wonderland is free to seniors 60 and older and their families. Stephanie Lawson of the Commission on Aging said that as long as a senior is in the vehicle, everyone in the car will be able to attend the event free of charge.
The Senior Center was unable to have a Christmas party last year due to the pandemic, so the Commission on Aging held a Winter Wonderland event for three nights. Director Stephanie Lawson said, “This year, we decided that since it was such a good time last year, we still wanted to do that, but we cut it back to just one night this year.” Lawson also has candy bag treats for the first 300 seniors to arrive at the display.
