CULLMAN COUNTY, Ala. – There are several community meals will be taking place in Cullman to celebrate Thanksgiving. Below is a list of some of these events and further information.
- The Brandin’ Iron Steakhouse of West Point will be holding their 6th Annual Thanksgiving meal on Nov. 22 which is free to veterans and their families. The event will be from noon – 6 p.m., and will include turkey, ham, dressing, sides and desserts. For information about donations or volunteering, call 256-739-1112. All proceeds will go to the VFW. Their location is 87 County Road 1242, Cullman.
- The Link of Cullman will be doing a drive-thru Thanksgiving meal on Thursday, Nov. 18 at their facility located at 708 Ninth St. SE in Cullman. They have 600 meals waiting to be served. The meal is free, but reservations need to be made. Reservations are available between 4-6 p.m.
- The Arley Women’s Club will be selling take-home meals at the Arley Community Center on Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. – noon. For a smoked ham, three 32 ounce sides and 32 rolls, the price is $65. Items can also be purchased individually. Ham is $40, sides $8 each, and the 32 count rolls are $5. The available sides are green beans, baked beans, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and corn. - Fairview Nondenominational Church: The Grace Place will be holding their Thanksgiving meal on Nov. 21 following church service. The community is welcome to attend and bring sides if they choose. The meal will be free, and the meat will be provided. They will be serving, turkey, pork loin and ham. The church is located at 4154 Huckaby Bridge Road in Falkville.
- River’s Edge: Liberty Church Kidz Ministry will be holding a free Thanksgiving lunch on Thanksgiving at their Holly Pond Campus located at 9350 U.S. Highway 278. The event will be from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
