Arrest made in arson case, more charges to come

CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Police Department announced Monday morning that the Cullman man suspected of setting fire to Drake Law Firm on Tuesday night had been arrested on multiple charges. 

According to CPD Public Relations Officer Adam Clark, the suspect, Lucas Boyd, 34, of Cullman, was arrested for arson in the second degree in connection to the fire. 

“He admitted to burning the car as well,” Clark said. “He has also been charged with burglary in the first degree in relation to the fire. There are possible unrelated charges coming later, but it is an active investigation, and we cannot share any more information at this time.”
