Bobby Joe Skinner was born April 2, 1947 in Cullman, Alabama to Leo and R. Mae Skinner. He died at the age of 74 on November 6, 2021 surrounded by his family.
Mr. Skinner was married to the love of his life, Cathy Skinner, for 54 years. He was a dedicated educator, serving at West Point High School as a math and science teacher and guidance counselor for 30 years. Mr. Skinner was also a former pastor of Brickyard Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Thomas Skinner.
He is survived by his wife: Cathy Skinner; one son: Joey (Shelley) Skinner of Cullman; two daughters: Cretia (Gene) Dailey of Huntsville and Ishella (Andy) Fogle of Muscle Shoals; one sister: Margaret Bell of Jones Chapel; grandchildren: Kayla Dailey, Benjamin (Kara) Dailey, Patrick Dailey, Makenzie Fogle, Laurel Fogle, Amy Jo Fogle and Katie Skinner; great-grandchildren:Tobias Dailey and Athena Dailey; family and friends.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Jones Chapel Cemetery, Dr. Andy Fogle and Rev. Randy Phillips officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
