ARLEY, Ala. – The Arley Women’s Club will be holding a fundraiser dinner Friday, Nov. 5 from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Arley Community Center (1175 Helicon Road, Arley, AL).
They will be serving meatloaf, hotdog and sauerkraut casserole or smoked chicken. The sides will be baked beans, turnip greens, corn or baked potato casserole. Diners can pick their choice of one meat, two sides and one dessert. The cost is $10 per plate and the event is carry-out only.
The fundraiser will also be selling homemade canned items, antique women’s handkerchiefs, mums and stocking stuffers. All proceeds from the dinner will go to the Arley Senior Center.
The Senior Center holds meetings at the Arley Fire Department. Every first and third Monday, the center has a Potluck Night at 5:00 p.m. They also meet the first and third Thursdays for Game Days. The Senior Center reopened on June 21 after the pandemic shutdown.
They are able to operate thanks to donations from the community.
