HANCEVILLE, Ala. – Wallace State’s Fine and Performing Arts department broke their nearly 18-month long hiatus Thursday night with the return of “Broadway Night.” The show was held at the Burrow Center for the Fine and Performing Arts at 7:00 p.m., with entry covered by a $10 donation.
Broadway Night was under the direction of Musical, Lighting Design and Sound Design Director Tiffany Richter, along with Technical Director Ricky Burks and Choreographer Tahauny Cleghorn. The show program listed every performance for the night and read, “Wallace State presents a student-led Cabaret night of hits from some of your favorite Broadway shows! Featuring the music of The Wiz, Something Rotten!, Little Shop of Horrors, and so many others, be ready to laugh, cry and sing along!”
Director Tiffany Richter shared with The Tribune, “Wallace State’s annual Broadway cabaret is a great night of entertainment. Our students put together the pieces they want to showcase, and it always ends up being funny, moving and SO impressive. It’s a perfect night to support our performance trip to Disney World, and all of the other performance opportunities we have coming up this year, after a year-and-a-half of not getting to perform in person!”

Last year was hard and for performers, not being able to perform was a really awful situation to find ourselves in.”
