HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Meek High School Varsity Cheerleaders will be competing in the AHSAA North Regional Cheer Event on Monday, November 1. The event will take place at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville and is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
The varsity cheerleaders are competing in the 1A-2A class against seven other teams. They will be hosting an exhibition event in the Meek High School gym today, Oct 28 at 6:30 p.m., where they will showcase the cheers they have prepared for the competition and teach them to the crowd.
Meek High Varsity Cheerleading Coach Kristen McCay had only positive things to say about her team, explaining, “Our team has worked incredibly hard. They are the definition of true cheerleaders. They love their school, and love supporting the Tigers. Competition is just an extension of their love for their school and desire to cheer for the tigers. This group of cheerleaders has a lot of talent, but also has heart, and that is what makes them awesome.”
