Crane Hill man arrested for burglary and assault

CULLMAN COUNTY, Ala. – The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic violence call after a local man broke into a nearby residence and threatened the family inside.  

Christopher Lee Sanford, 37, of Crane Hill, was arrested Oct. 4 by CCSO deputies following a domestic incident with his wife.  

Sanford went to a family member’s residence where his wife was located and broke a lock on the door to gain entry to the residence. Once inside, Sanford made threats to the family.  

He was arrested and charged with burglary in a residence with force and domestic/simple assault.  

“I am proud of the hard work, dedication and quick response of the men and women of the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office,” Sheriff Matt Gentry said. “Domestic situations always have the potential to be volatile. Fortunately, this was resolved quickly and safely.”
