Funeral service for Virginia Louise Shoemaker, 84, of the Blair community will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 11, 2021 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Bethel Baptist Cemetery in the Blair Community. Rev. Steve Rodgers will be officiating. Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Mrs. Shoemaker passed away Friday, October 8, 2021. She was born June 26, 1937 to Clarence and Eva Watson Chesney. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and known to them as Mamaw. She loved gardening and cooking, and everyone loved her chicken dressing and requested it at all the family gatherings. She will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister: Lucy Massey and brothers: J.T. Chesney and Charles Chesney.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years: Robert Shoemaker; daughter: Betty Jean Musmeci; sister: Omera Moore; grandchildren: Robert (Chasidy) Lipsey; great-granddaughter: Ellie Jo Lipsey; nieces, nephews, family and friends.
