LYNN, Ala. – After collecting a big region win over Marion County at home last week, Meek hit the road Friday night for another important regional matchup against Lynn. The Tigers stayed hot this week and were in control for the majority of their 46-15 win over the Bears.
A pair of early touchdowns put the Tigers on top 14-0 in the first quarter and they were able to maintain that lead going into the second. Lynn and Meek each traded scores early in the second quarter to make it a 20-7 game but the Tigers were able to find the end zone again before halftime to stretch their lead to 28-7 at the break.
Meek continued to add to its lead in the third quarter, pulling ahead 40-7 at one point in the period and leading the way 40-15 at the start of the fourth quarter. The Tigers were able to get one more touchdown on the board in the final frame and kept the Bears out of the end zone the rest of the way to secure a 46-15 road win. Meek improves to 5-2 with the win and is improving its playoff position in the region with each passing week.
The Tigers will be back on the road next week to take on Pickens County in another regional showdown.
