Obituary: Thomas Dale Parker

Thomas Dale Parker, 75, of Double Springs entered into rest on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Parker was born December 25, 1945 in Dora, Alabama.  The two things he loved the most in life were the Lord and his family.  He loved his wife like the Lord loves his church.  He loved everyone, especially his grandchildren and they loved him.  He also enjoyed fishing, picking the guitar, reading the Bible and Alabama football.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Addison Church of God, where the service will begin at 12:00 p.m.  Pastor Rodney Ridgeway and Reverend Christopher Talbot will officiate.  Burial will follow in Moreland Cemetery.

Thomas is survived by his wife: Shelby Patterson Parker; brother: Ray Parker; sisters: Suzy (Jack) Crawswell and Barbara (James Alvin) Stephens; children: Kay (Mike) Edwards, Ricky (Janet) Ayers, Bobby (Lynn) Ayers and Pam Ayers; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: James Arthur Parker and Niva Ledbetter Parker; brothers: James Arthur Parker Jr. and Edward Parker and sister: Gail Parker Weldon.
