Lela Elizabeth Hammock, age 80, of Hayden, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Lela was born May 25, 1941 in Mississippi.
Lela is survived by her husband: Burl Wayne Hammock; her daughter: Sherry Hammock Ohls; her sons: Richard Wayne (Elaine) Hammock and Josh Hammock; her brothers: John (Sharon) Tanner and Charles (Jennie) Tanner; her grandchildren: Todd Hammock, Kristy Hammock Culver, Beth Hammock, Sara Motte and Cory Fields; her sister-in-law: D’Ann Tanner and 15 great-grandchildren.
Lela was preceded in death by her parents: Roy and Mae C. Watts Tanner; her sister: Nina Bennet; and her brothers: Sonny Tanner and Harold Tanner.
A celebration of life visitation for Lela will be held Monday, October 11, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Moss-Service Funeral Home (1901 2nd Avenue, N.W., Cullman, Alabama 35055). A celebration of life funeral service will occur Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel. An interment will follow Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
