HANCEVILLE, Ala. – After picking up a 26-13 road win over Locust Fork last week, the Hanceville Bulldogs returned to Ray Talley Stadium Friday night for a regional showdown with Oneonta. Unfortunately for the home crowd, the Redskins built a big lead early over the Bulldogs and never gave it up, pulling away to defeat Hanceville 34-6.

Oneonta jumped out to a 13-0 lead early in the opening quarter and was able to find the end zone one more time before the start of the second to make it a 20-0 game. The Bulldogs weren’t able to get anything going offensively and the Redskins tacked on two more touchdowns in the second quarter to make it a 34-0 game at the halftime break.

With the hot clock running in the second half, Hanceville still trailed 34-0 at the end of the third quarter. Brosnan Ward got loose from 30 yards out and scored to cut the lead to 34-6 but the Bulldogs couldn’t chip away any more than that and Hanceville fell to the Redskins 34-6.

The Bulldogs drop to 2-4 with the loss and will be back on the road next week to take on Etowah.
