HANCEVILLE, Ala. – Wallace State Community College’s Center for Career and Workforce Development is hosting a Manufacturing Day Industry Panel and Networking Event on Thursday, Sept. 30, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Bailey Center Auditorium.
Representatives from local manufacturers will discuss advanced manufacturing in Alabama and industry career pathways. A networking and manufacturing career fair will follow.
“We hope this event highlights the rapidly growing manufacturing industry in Alabama and provides an opportunity for our local companies to connect with the incredible students at Wallace State. With the event being streamed live on Wallace State’s YouTube page (https://www.youtube.com/user/WallaceState), we also want to help educate area high school students about the opportunities they could have in the manufacturing industry,” said Bethany Campbell, Wallace State’s FAME coordinator/Student Success coach.
Employers scheduled to be present at the event are Abaco Systems, American Cast Iron Pipe Company (ACIPCO), AMETEK, Athens State University, Bocar US Inc., Commercial Metals Company (CMC Steel), Dynetics Inc., Fontaine Trailer, GE Appliances, HomTex Inc., LP Building Solutions, Mercedes-Benz, Sonoco Reels & Plugs, Orchid Orthopedic Solutions and YKTA.
