George Franklin Johnson Sr., age 93, of Cullman, Alabama passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021. George was born September 7, 1928.
George was preceded in death by his sister: Alice L. Johnson; his sister: Hattie McCormick; his sister: Annie Mae Newman, his brother: James Roosevelt Johnson; one grandson; four great-grandsons; two granddaughters and one great-granddaughter .
A visitation for George will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home (1901 2nd Avenue NW, Cullman, AL 35055). A funeral service will occur Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel (1901 2nd Avenue NW, Cullman, AL 35055) with Rev. Phillip Doss officiating. An interment will occur Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Bethel Baptist Cemetery (Battleground–Blair Community, Cullman, Alabama).
Survivors are daughters: Stella Mae Phelps, Mary Ann (James) Prestridge, Annie (Gary) McGhee and Peggy (Wayne) Murphree, sons: George Jr. (Danni) Johnson and Paul (Tiffany) Johnson and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other family.
