She continued, “Pick up a running bib and a Duchess doughnut and water while they last! And remember—it is virtual again this year. Run or walk when you choose at your own pace. All proceeds are for a great cause—The Cullman County Public Libraries!”

The Friends of the Public Libraries will be at CCPL on Saturday, Sept 25 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

President of the Friends of the Public Libraries Tanya Alcorn previously spoke on the event sharing, “Last year’s event was very successful, allowing us to support our libraries mission in the community through projects for improvements to the library facility and the children’s reading area, and also investing in multiple “free little libraries” around the county. The sponsors of last year’s event made our fundraising abilities so successful and grateful for each donation. We are looking forward to an equally successful Virtual 5k this year.”
