Obituary: Nicholas DeWitt Pinkard

Graveside service for Nicholas DeWitt Pinkard, 41, of Cullman will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Center Point Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel.   The family has chosen to hold a brief celebration of life honoring Nick’s memory.

Nick passed on September 20, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born July 20, 1980 to Rudy Van and Betty C. Cramer Pinkard. He served two tours of overseas duty, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom 3. Nick proudly served as an Army medic and his fellow soldiers nicknamed him “Doc.”  He carried the values and experiences from his military career throughout his life.  He loved outdoors and considered himself a survivalist.  He was an entrepreneur who created his own company, Whiskey Brothers, alongside one of his brothers.  Above all else, Nick loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Tony and Audie Cramer, DeWitt and Estelle Pinkard and his father: Rudy Pinkard.

Mr. Pinkard is survived by his mother: Betty C. Gardner; children: Taylor Jackson, Van Pinkard and Colton Pinkard; brothers: Jeremy (Crystal) Pinkard and Wesley Luker; sisters: Ashley (Michael) Shirley and Latosha (Cody) Underwood; aunt: Trella (Roy) Kinney and a host of family and friends.

Cullman funeral Home is honored to serve the Pinkard family.
