Graveside service for Florene Mattox Johnson, 87, of Hanceville will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She will lie in state at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. prior to the graveside service. Rev. Paul Campbell will officiate the service.

Mrs. Johnson passed from this life on September 19, 2021 at Hanceville Nursing Home and Rehab. She was born May 6, 1934 to Grady Elijah and Mary Ella Bozeman Mattox. She was a member of Hanceville Methodist Church. She never met a stranger. She had a Christlike love for everyone.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Grady Junior Mattox, Crantford Mattox, Robert Mattox and Thomas Mattox; sisters: Algaren Tyree, Evelyn McNiel and Liz Crosby and one grandchild: Chloe Jade Young.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her sons: Steven Wayne Peak and Rickey (Kelly) Peak; daughter: Ann (Phillip) Ragsdale; sisters: Susie (Billy) Clements; sister-in-law: Betty Mattox; grandchildren: Rosa (Gary) Noles, Linda (Melissa) Weist, Tracy (Derrick) Wright and Whittney (Joshua) Ergle; great-grandchildren: Matthew, Jacob, David, Helen, Violet, Oliver, Elizabeth and Artie Rose and special friend: J.J. Entrekin.
