Cullman, Ala. – A man that had not been heard from since Friday night was found deceased in a pond on the Terri Pines Golf Course on Monday morning.
John Clark, 51, of Cullman was found near hole-three in a pond early Monday morning.
According to Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick, his body had been submerged for two days. He is ruling the death as an accidental drowning.
According to family friends, Clark used many local golf course ponds to “golf ball dive” on the weekends.
When he had not been heard from in over a day, family and friends began searching local golf courses for Clark’s vehicle.
According to a friend of Clark, when he was discovered, there were golf balls on his person, and he was wearing a homemade diving suit with a weighted belt.
