The Knights took an early lead when they connected on a 55-yard touchdown pass on the third play of the game to make it 7-0 right out of the gate. Arab tacked on a field goal in the second quarter to stretch the lead to 10-0 and the Knights were able to hold onto that lead going into the halftime break.
Arab was able block another Southside punt in the third quarter. This time it was Mitchell Duquette that made the play, and the Knights took advantage with an 8-yard touchdown run by Ed Johnson that made it a 17-0 game. However, the Panthers responded later in the third quarter with a 33-yard touchdown pass that trimmed the lead to 17-7 going into the fourth quarter.
Arab put the game out of reach early in the fourth quarter. Johnson hit Drew Puccio for a massive, 70-yard gain and a few plays later, Johnson ran one in from three yards out to extend the lead to 24-7 with 10 minutes remaining in the game.
The Panthers were unable to come up with an answer and the Knights returned home with a 24-7 region win. Arab improves to 4-1 with the win and will be back home next week to take on Brewer.
