VINEMONT, Ala. – The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office works collaboratively with multiple agencies, one of those agencies being Internet Crimes Against Children.
CCSO Investigators recently received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a Vinemont man.
Shawn Alexander Chaney, 21, of Vinemont, was arrested Sept. 9 for 15 counts of possession of child pornography-grand jury warrants.
Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry spoke on the investigation, saying, “I am proud of the working relationships our office has with outside agencies.” He continued, “I am also proud of the hard work and dedication our investigators show each and every day. This collaborative effort enabled us to put a potential predator behind bars.”
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Pursuant to Code 13A-12-192, it lists victims of child pornography as under 17 years of age.
