PREP SWIMMING: Cullman girls, boys finish 1st at Triple Dual Meet

CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman High School’s Swim Team kicked off its season at home Thursday night against North League rivals Athens, Westminster Christian, Hartselle, Decatur, Decatur Heritage, Austin, Priceville and Lindsay Lane. Both the Bearcats girls and boys teams finished first overall, collecting 22 new best times, several first-place finishes and two new school records. 

Top finishers in their events included the following:

  • Girls 200 Medley Relay – Morgan Fuller, Ruby Hudson, Anna Page, Madison Clements
  • Girls 200 Free Relay – Morgan Fuller, Ruby Hudson, Anna Page, Madison Clements
  • Guys 200 Medley Relay – Chase Duncan, Brody Schaefer, Hilson Cole, CJ Arnold
  • Guys 200 Free Relay – Chase Duncan, Brody Schaefer, Hilson Cole, CJ Arnold
  • Madison Clements – 100 individual medley (with a new school record), 50 butterfly (with a new school record), and 50 backstroke
  • Ruby Hudson – 50 freestyle

The bearcat swimmers will compete again next Saturday, 9/18, at the North Alabama Sprint Championship hosted by James Clemens.
