CULLMAN, Ala. – The Bearcats hit the road for another regional clash Friday night and came home with a comfortable, 35-0 win over Buckhorn Bucks to improve to 2-2 on the year. The ‘Cats took an early 14-0 lead into the halftime break before pulling away in the second half to win it 35-0.
Ryan Skinner used his legs to find the end zone and give Cullman a 7-0 lead in the opening quarter and Jamar Kay followed him across the goal line in the second quarter to make it a 14-0 game at the half.
After the break, the Bearcats continued to add to their lead. Noah Kee, Jake Dueland and Kaleb Heatherly each scored to stretch the lead to 35-0 early in the fourth quarter and Cullman’s defense kept the Bucks off the scoreboard the rest of the way to secure a 35-0, shutout win on the road.
The ‘Cats improve to 2-2 with the win and gain an important victory in the region standings. Cullman will be back on the road next week to square off against Hazel Green.
