Sonja Kidd Jackson, 77, of Upshaw Community, entered into rest on September 2, 2021 at Decatur Morgan Hospital.
Mrs. Jackson was born on January 31, 1944 in Pettus, West Virginia.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 5, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where the service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery in Danville, Alabama (Lindsey Hall Community).
Sonja is survived by her daughters: Melinda (David) Cleghorn, Gail (Steve) Tucker and Melanie (Ron) Wilhelm; brother: Ronald (Donna) Kidd; sisters: Carolyn (Robert) Workman and Debra Milam; sister-in-law: Marveline Burnett; uncle: Dencil (Carolyn) Compton; grandchildren: Amanda (William) Black, Haley Cleghorn, Nicholas (Tiffany) Cleghorn, Andrew (Wendy) Cleghorn, Hollie (Patrick ) Waid, Megan (Jake) Whitfield, Christine (Tony) Williams and Steven Jackson Tucker; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and a host of many loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years: Hershel Lee Jackson; father: Mack Kidd; mother: Gwendolyn Jackson; aunt: Wanda Wiley and a brother-in-law: James Locle Burnett.
