Edna Buckner, age 86, of Haleyville, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021, at Lakeland Community Hospital.
Mrs. Buckner was born on March 25, 1935 in Haleyville, Alabama. Mrs. Edna loved her family, loved traveling and loved going to Jacks.
Visitation will be Monday, September 6, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Brother Rayburn Whitman will officiate. Burial will be at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in the Wiley Branch Community.
Edna is survived by her sons: Jerry (Terisa) Buckner and Rickey Buckner; grandchildren: Matthew (Tiffany) Buckner, Andrew Buckner, Ryan Buckner and Amy (Nick) Gilpin and great-grandchildren: Isabella Gilpin, Hutson Cole Buckner and Rylan Buckner.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Lily Dodd and several siblings.
