Debra Lynn Farthing Smith, age 54, of Lynn, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Lakeland Community Hospital.
Mrs. Smith was born on May 30, 1967 in Fayette, North Carolina. Debbie was a very loving and caring person who loved her family, especially the grandkids. She enjoyed the outdoors, loved to talk and fellowship and she never met a stranger. She never wanted to say goodbye, it was always “see you later”.
Visitation will be Monday, September 6, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Brother Tim Edwards will officiate. Burial will be at Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery in Haleyville, Alabama.
Debra is survived by her husband: Donald James Smith; mother: Janet Sue Coffman; sons: Paul William (Amanda Shay Cason) Farthing and Kye Alexander Smith; daughter: Brandi SuAnn (David Henry) Sims; grandchildren: Brayden Paul Farthing, Elizabeth Pearl Farthing, Joel Bradley Farthing, Rylee Keith Mitchell, Henry Reid Sims, Tyler Ryan Sims and River Colt Sims; brothers: Don Richard Conner and John Matthew Coffman; sisters: Lisa Marie Farthing and Diane Michelle Bell and a host of nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father: Larry Eugene Farthing.
