CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman City Schools will be closed on Tuesday, August 31, due to the remnants of Hurricane Ida expected to impact the Cullman area with storms and wind.
“Based on the latest forecast from the National Weather Service’s (NWS) Huntsville office, our area will be impacted by the remains of Hurricane Ida beginning Monday afternoon through late Tuesday evening,” Superintendent Kyle Kallhoff said. “Our plan is to resume normal operations on the morning of Wednesday, September 1. Stay safe and go Bearcats!”
This closure includes all activities on all five Cullman City Schools campuses on Tuesday.
Cullman County remains under a flash flood watch until 1 a.m. on Wednesday.
