CULLMAN, Ala. – Due to the increasing number of COVID cases, the Agriplex Foundation Board has made the difficult decision to cancel their Harvest to Home Dinner. The dinner, originally scheduled for August 26, has been canceled with concern for all staff and attendees, and to prevent the further spread of the virus.
While the dinner has been canceled, the silent auction planned in conjunction has been reworked and will proceed as an online event on the original date. The action will go live Thursday, August 26 at 12 p.m. and will end on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at 8 p.m. You can join the event by going to https://agriplex.org. There will be contactless pick-ups scheduled for auction winners on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at the North Alabama Agriplex, located at 1714 Talley Ho St. in Cullman.
Any previously purchased corporate table and/or individual tickets will be refunded.
The Agriplex thanks their Main Event Sponsors – Alabama Farm Credit and ACA, entertainment sponsor – Traditions Bank and in-kind sponsors – Wallace State Community College and Elise Thomason with PrintStudio.com, and a special thank you to Chef Aaron Nichols and the Wallace State Culinary Pride.
North Alabama Agriplex Director Rachel Dawsey shared with The Tribune, “The North Alabama Agriplex Foundation was very sad to cancel our Harvest to Home Dinner that was scheduled to be held on August 26 at Wallace State College. Due to the rising COVID cases, the Foundation decided the event needed to be cancelled to keep our volunteers and staff safe. The Foundation is excited to still be able to host our silent auction online. We are thankful to our sponsors and donors for making this possible. Please check out the silent auction on Thursday, August 26, closing on Sunday August 29, with item pickup drive through at the Agriplex on August 31. The auction can be accessed at https://agriplex.org.”
