Velma McGriff Armstrong, 81, of Holly Pond, entered into the presence of her Heavenly Father on August 12, 2021. She was born July 4, 1940, in Cullman County to Elbert T. and Eula Ann Murphree McGriff.
Velma was member of Holly Pond Church of Christ where she enjoyed worshiping her Lord and Savior. She loved to paint, enjoyed gardening and tending her flowers and had a host of dear friends that she enjoyed spending time with. Velma also loved being a mother to her son, Howard.
Ms. Armstrong is preceded in death by husband: Dan Armstrong; parents: Elbert and Annie McGriff; brothers: Willard, Dal and Dwight McGriff and sister: Joyce Love.
She is survived by her son: Howard Armstrong; sisters: Willene Clark and Janice (Keith) Hicks; many nieces, nephews and in-laws, as well as a host of friends.
Graveside services for Velma will be Saturday morning, August 14, 2021, at 10:30 a.m., in the Remlap Methodist Church Cemetery.
