Funeral service for Edna Ruth Ragsdale Hogue, 77, will be at 2:30 p.m., Monday, August 1, 2021 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Mt. Olive Baptist Cemetery with Bro. Hollis Gardner officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. prior to the service.

Mrs. Hogue passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born July 2, 1944 to Doctor Oliver and Myrtle Wren James. She was a loving, kind mama and grandmother and was a friend to everyone. Her family was her life. She always had a smile on her face.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Bobby Ragsdale; grandsons: Nathaniel Creasey, Bruce Smith and Christopher Barboza and sisters: Othera Thornton, Obera Mosley, Freda Swan and Betty Robinson.
Survivors include her daughters: Theresa Ragsdale (Dewayne) Burney and Carla Cunningham; brother: Rayburn James; sisters: Shirley (Thomas) Baker, Joyce Ragsdale and Ival Thomas; grandchildren: R.J. Barboza, Bobby Morgan, Jerrod Cunningham, Amber (Shane) Bagley, Megan Creasey and Dylan Walker; great-grandchildren: Dakota Morgan, Cameron Morgan, Kayla Hyre, Mya Goodwin, Phoenix Creasey, Atreyu Creasey, Dakota Creasey and Banks Bagley; great-great grandchildren: Chevy Walker, Noah Walker, Lily Hyre and Hunter Goodwin and a host of family and friends.
