Mary Lee Drake, age 81, of Vinemont, Alabama passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born June 3, 1940 in Cullman, Alabama.
Mary is survived by daughter: Eydie (Rodger) Black; sons: Doug (Tarri) Drake and Keith (Tracy) Drake, grandchildren: Samantha Drake, Abbie Drake, Grace Drake, Kelsie Black, Luke Jordan, Wes Jordan, Dustin Hopson and Devin Hopson and great-grandchildren: Brayden Jordan, Wyatt Jordan, Kolbie Hopson, Aubrie Hopson, Paylee Hopson, Tanner Hopson and Madelyn Hopson.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband: Gerald N. Drake; daughter: Angie Drake Marlow; parents: Manuel J. and Henretta Woodruff Young; sisters: Aline Speegle and Daisy Johnson and brothers: L.A. Young, Cordell Young, O.O. Young and Leo Young.
Mary was a gardener and loved her flowers. She also loved her poodle Maggie. She was loved by all who knew her, and she will be missed by all.
A visitation for Mary will be held Monday, July 19, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home, 1901 2nd Avenue, N.W., Cullman, Alabama 35055. A celebration of life funeral service to follow. An interment will occur at Flint Creek Cemetery, Vinemont, AL.
