CULLMAN, Ala. – Integrity Auto Group owner Robert Taylor, 50, of Cullman was arrested Tuesday, July 13, for attempted theft of property first-degree, and second-degree forgery, both felony charges.
Cullman Police Department (CPD) Sergeant Chuck Shikle executed the two warrants on Taylor at his place of business on Tuesday after an investigation into the allegations.
According to Shikle, a victim from Hartselle had filled a report about the theft of his vehicle by Mr. Taylor.
“The story that Taylor provided didn’t match the facts we found during the investigation,” Shikle said. “During the course of the investigation, that the vehicle appeared to be obtained through fraudulent means; that’s where the forgery portion came in.”
He went on to say that the Hartselle resident was able to retrieve the vehicle before the sale was completed.
“Today, there were 20 complaints so far taken by the police department and investigators are trying to determine if the complaints are criminal in nature or civil in regard to Mr. Taylor and just business.”
CPD Public Relations officer Adam Clark and the Cullman Police Department encourage anyone who thinks they may have been victimized by Robert Taylor with Integrity Auto Group to contact the Cullman Police Department at (256) 734-1434.
