CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Animal Shelter has love to spare right now, so Donna Ruttkay shares a bonus Cullman Tribune Pet of the Week:
Bentley is a roughly four-month-old Terrier mix. Get ready to play: he’s a lively medium-to-high energy pet who’s a quick learner and loves his toys! He is becoming skilled in leash etiquette and learning respect for personal space.
Ruttkay describes him as “a happy, patient fellow, whose enthusiasm for life is contagious,” and who responds well to training.
Bentley has the makings of a great therapy or companion dog.
Bentley’s adoption fee is $100 which includes DHLPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccines, rabies vaccine, wormer, general exam at the vet, spaying, microchip, free 30-day health insurance policy issued by 24PetWatch (with valid email only) and a free bag of food from Cullman Pet Depot (you must pay sales tax).
Animal shelter staff and volunteers work with their dogs to make sure they are accustomed to being around people, walking on a leash and practicing good behavior. Several of the shelter’s canine friends have even been “hired” to work as therapy and special needs service dogs.
Please consider adopting to give a rescued pet a chance at a happy and healthy life.
