CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Animal Shelter’s Donna Ruttkay shares the Cullman Tribune Pet of the Week:
JoJo is a 3.5-year-old Feist Terrier mix. He’s a lively-but-not-hyper medium-energy pet who’s skilled on his leash and likes to hang close to his people. He’ll even cuddle in your lap, if you let him. He has happy feet and might dance for you when you feed him. Ruttkay said that Jojo “owns an ear which periodically will defy the force of gravity!”
Jojo has the makings of a good companion, therapy or hiking dog.
Jojo’s adoption fee is $100 which includes DHLPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccines, rabies vaccine, wormer, general exam at the vet, spaying, microchip, free 30-day health insurance policy issued by 24PetWatch (with valid email only) and a free bag of food from Cullman Pet Depot (you must pay sales tax).
Animal shelter staff and volunteers work with their dogs to make sure they are accustomed to being around people, walking on a leash and practicing good behavior. Several of the shelter’s canine friends have even been “hired” to work as therapy and special needs service dogs.
Please consider adopting to give a rescued pet a chance at a happy and healthy life.

Good news!
The shelter was happy to report that recent POTW Tipper has been adopted! Tipper’s sister, Toffee, who was about to become a POTW herself, was also adopted! Several strays have been reunited with their families, and kitty adoptions are going strong.
Thanks to the whole community for making forever homes a regular destination for our furry friends.
