Etoile Duncan Roberson, 87, of Cullman passed on July 2, 2021 to become a messenger (her words).

Mrs. Roberson was born in Taylors, SC. She was well known for her joyful spirit and her unceasing ability to spin a tale. She loved to share the meaning of her name. Etoile means “star.” For most of her working career, she was a portrait photographer and later in life, she became a bridal consultant until her retirement at age 71. She was most proud of her seven children, 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her grandsons: Brian Roberson, Jr. and Donnie Roberson; her brother: Bill Campbell and her sister: Brenda Johnson.

She is survived by her children: Marty Roberson (Brenda), Donna Massey (Steve), Luther Roberson (JoAnne), Phillip Roberson (Renee), Cheryl Hicks (Russell), Glenda Roberson and Brian Roberson (Karen); 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

We will look to the sky for our Star!

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to your own favorite non-profit.
