Funeral Service for Deirl “Ray” Hughes Baker, age 82, of Cullman, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home and burial at Logan Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.

Mr. Baker passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at his residence. He was born December 4, 1938, in Cullman, Alabama, to Arnold Columbus Baker and Ruby Stanford Baker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson: Joshua Kanaday; great-granddaughter: Anna “Bug” Hocutt; brothers: Don Baker, Bob Baker and Buck Baker and sister: Wynell Baker Haynes.
Survivors include his wife: Delwyn Geree Baker; children: Carter Baker, Tina Baker Armstrong, Rayburn Baker, Janet Baker (Dewayne) Vintson, Kenneth Baker, Mathew Baker and Luke Baker; grandchildren: Veronia Kanaday, Justin Vintson, Krystal Baker, Brandon Kanaday and Tobi Vintson; great-grandchildren: Luci Vintson, Harley Kanaday, Jordan Kanaday, Marshall Vintson, Arthur “Art” Vintson and Jerica Barbee; brothers: Buddy Baker and Arthur Baker; sisters: Faye Baker Duffie, Carolyn Baker (Dwight) Amos and Linda Baker Coots and a host of nieces and nephews.
