CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that 2nd Friday has been rescheduled to June 18th, due to the weather.
Bands that were booked for the occasion are currently being rescheduled, but in the event that any band has prior engagements, there will be new musical entertainment booked. Any music changes that may be made will likely be announced by the middle of next week. Vendors will also be contacted to ensure the date change will work with their schedules so 2nd Friday can go off without a hitch.
The time for the event hasn’t changed and will still begin at 5 p.m. and end at 10 p.m. that evening, leaving plenty of time and opportunities for families to come out and enjoy themselves.
On the date change, Peggy Smith, president of the Cullman Chamber of Commerce, stated, “We did not want to cancel this great event. We believe that Cullman is ready for 2nd Fridays and the last thing we wanted to do was cancel or have it rained out. We did not want to take any chances so the Chamber, City Park and Recreation, CDMA and the City of Cullman worked together and agreed to hold it June 18th. We cannot wait to see all of you next week.”
