Delena Calvert Watwood, 62, passed away at her home in Cullman, Alabama on Monday, June 7,
2021. She was born August 22, 1958 in Medina County, Ohio.
Cullman Funeral Home is honored to serve the Watwood family.
Delena is survived by her husband: Timothy Watwood; three sons: Geremie
(Kendra) Fresh of Foley, AL, Jason (Sara) Fresh of Cullman, AL and Nicholas (Crystal) Fresh of
Robertsdale, AL; one daughter: Brittney (Matthew) Wigginton of Addison, AL;
six granddaughters: Giavonna (Timmathy) Fresh-Johnson, Angelina Fresh, Ariana Fresh, Kendall Wyatt, Karson Wyatt and Paisley Wigginton; four grandsons: Brakston Fresh, Greyson Fresh, Jamison Fresh and Leighton Wyatt; one great-grandson: Bentley Johnson; two sisters: Ellarea Dickson of Crane Hill, AL and Cherie (Justin) Calvert-Coaly of Dumas, TX; one brother: Dave Calvert of Amarillo, TX and many nephews and nieces, whom she loved as her own.
Delena is preceded in death with her father: David Alton Calvert; her mother: Alene T. Freeman
Calvert; her sister: Gayla Calvert Dockery and her brother: Dennis Calvert.
Delena, or “Mammie” as her grandchildren called her, was a long-time resident of Cullman,
where she worked 24 years for the Cullman County courthouse.
She was a devout Christian who loved church, Alabama football and, more than anything, being
together with her family.
The visitation will be at Cullman Funeral Home Thursday, June 10, 2021, from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., with a service Friday, June 11, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. A graveside service will immediately follow at
Livingston Chapel United Methodist Church in Crane Hill, AL.
