CULLMAN, Ala. – When you walk into the Cullman County Public Library, you are greeted by a rush of cool air and quiet, but do not be deceived by the silence. There is so much going on! The several dedicated employees of the Cullman County Public Library are hard at work creating new events and activities for the residents of their beloved city.
On June 1, 2021, the library will be lifting restrictions and reopening in its entirety to the public. All 16 computers will now be available once more for public use. Along with the limit on ten books per family shifting back to 15 per person.
On Wednesday, June 2, Cullman County Public Library will be hosting their Summer Learning Program kick-off day with loads of water activities planned and Cha Cha’s Shaved Ice available to cool you off afterwards. There will be loads of information on the amazing summer projects that they have planned, like Mosaic Tile Painting, The Great Read Away, The Youth Writing Contest and plenty more.
The library offers additional services such as notary publics at no additional charge by paying their employees’ notary fees for them. Faxing is also available at a low cost. Your local library team is always going above and beyond to service you in the best way possible, especially with amazing technologies such as Playmates, which are small, encased tablets stocked full of educational content available for check out to children ages 3-12.
Librarian Janice Cook spoke about The Little Public Libraries that are spread throughout Cullman, saying, “When people donate books that we do not need in our collection, we like to put it in the Free Library. We like to provide those books for the people in the community to read.”
