CULLMAN, Ala. –Goat Island Brewing today announced their FiveYear Anniversary Celebration. The event, which will include food, music, a special beer release and live miniature goats, will be held April 10.

This marks five years of using the freshest and best ingredients available, and the cleanest and best processes possible to make the best tasting beer imaginable,” said President Mike Mullaney. “Since the day we have opened, we have had nothing but amazing support from the entire community. We are so grateful to our patrons and the Goat Island nation spread out throughout the region. We look forward to celebrating this important milestone with everyone!”

During the celebration, Matt Clark and Scott Glasier will be on-site doing a pig roast. Food will be available starting at 4 p.m. for $12/plate. All proceeds will go to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) to help local combat veterans with PTSD get the SGB shot. Ken Brown of the VFW will be there to answer questions about this program that helps veterans get this life changing procedure.

There will be three local bands (Trifecta, Round 2 and Avenue G) playing live music throughout the day and evening. Miniature goats will be available for the kids to pet starting at 2 p.m., and the brewery will rerelease the Palomino Pale Ale (the first beer served on the first day of business for Goat Island) at 3:30 p.m. Music and festivities will end at 11 p.m.
