Wilson Lee Privett, 74, of Arley, entered into rest on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Wilson was born on September 13, 1946 in Addison, Alabama. He was the rock and hero of his family. He loved helping people and was willing to give the shirt off his back to someone in need. Wilson was a hardcore Alabama football fan, but also loved the Miami Dolphins. He always had a cigar in his mouth and if he didn’t have one, you knew something was wrong.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where services will be held at 3 p.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in the Nesmith Community.
Wilson is survived by his wife, Millie Privett; daughter, Cynthia Privett Ruth; grandchildren, Heather Talty, Jimmy Ruth, Jennifer Terrell, Donnie Ruth, Danielle Eaton, Theresa Becerra and Jordan Gibson; and 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Carlton Privett and Barney Privett; and sister, Faye Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Gibson; parents, Sherman and Vider Privett; and brother, Kenneth Privett.
