Funeral service for Mr. Hershel Jess Wilson, 93, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m., Monday, March 29, 2021 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Hopewell Cemetery, Rev. Hobert Thomas officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon until 2 p.m. on Monday prior to the service.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Wilson passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Cullman Regional Hospital. He was born December 9, 1927 to Talmadge & Etta Smith Wilson. He served his country in the United States Army and was a World War II veteran. He was a devoted husband, wonderful father, good Christian man who loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother; sister and grandson, Gregory Zielinski.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Willa Dean Wilson; daughter, Patricia (Tim) Zielinski; granddaughter, Kimberly (Shannon Gibson) Zielinski Gibson; great-grandchildren, Brian Zielinski, Xander Zielinski; family and friends.
