CULLMAN, Ala. – Have you ever been hit with the need for a delicious Duchess donut, but stuck at work or home? Thanks to Local Kraving, a new delivery service in Cullman, there is a simple way to get your Duchess fix. Paul and Jamie Yarbrough’s new delivery business hopes to focus on delivering local favorites not serviced by larger delivery companies.
Paul Yarbrough and his wife Jamie are Cullman County natives. He is a graduate of Holly Pond High School and she is a graduate of Cullman.
“I have lived in Cullman all my life. I was born and raised here,” said Paul Yarbrough. “This is our town and we’ve both lived here all our lives.”
For now, Local Kraving is delivering goodies from Duchess Bakery and working out any issues it may encounter before adding additional restaurants.
“We are just getting started and this is our second week, and we are trying to get the word out the best we can,” Yarbrough said.
Eventually the couple would like to add more local establishments to their delivery offerings.
He explained, “I would love to get some of the places that don’t have any delivery services, local one business ownerships here in Cullman. We’ve got several local restaurants that don’t have any type of delivery service. I would love to be able to get with them.”
He added, “Right now, we are just focusing on Duchess and getting all the kinks worked out. Eventually, we want to grow, that’s for sure.”
As the business grows, said Yarbrough, he hopes to create an app to assist with the ordering process. For now, orders can be placed by text or phone.
To place a delivery order, text or call Local Kraving at 256-258-9900.
“The easiest way is to text your name, address and what you would like from Duchess,” he said. Once Duchess confirms it can fill the order, the delivery can be arranged.
Local Kraving accepts cash, credit and Venmo payments. Duchess Bakery is open Tuesday-Saturday for delivery.
