Charles Champ Kasten, Jr., 60, of Cullman, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at his residence.

Charles was born June 10, 1960 in Morgan County to Charles and Mary Kasten, who preceded him in death.

Charles started working as a young man at William Jordan’s store in West Point while he attended high school and studied at Wallace State College. From there he worked for the Hanceville Herald Newspaper selling ads. Charles began his insurance career with ALFA insurance as an agent and worked his way into his own business, The Kasten Insurance Agency, where he remained working until his death. Charles always appreciated his clients. He enjoyed helping them and coming into work every day.

Charles loved God and his family and a close second was his love of antique cars/trucks, antique trains, and motorcycling.

Charles leaves behind his loving wife of 38 years, Pamela Hulsey Kasten, his son, Seth Kasten, and his sister-in-law, Suzanne Hulsey Eady, his beautiful horse, Cinnamon, who he enjoyed spending time with and his cat, Comet. He cherished his many friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dean Sticher, Dawn Pennifeld and Don Crum for their help during this difficult time.

A graveside service, conducted by Brother Steve Rodgers, with immediate family was held on February 23, 2021.

Cullman Funeral Home was honored to serve the Kasten family.
